Priscilla Boadi (graduated 2016)

Priscilla is aspiring for a lecturing and consultancy career, and believes that the Master in International Forestry program will provide her with the platform she needs to study and acquire valuable skills. Having understood the importance of healthy forest ecosystems in the protection and conservation of biodiversity, Priscilla has decided to direct her interest to the relations between food security, land tenure management and natural resources management. In the process of developing herself as a forest governance and policy expert, Priscilla has focused her work on building public awareness on conservation issues in most parts of Ghana, working closely with the Forestry Commission of Ghana. As the former Deputy Sponsorship Chairperson for Renewable Natural Resources Students Association, she has addressed conservation and conflict issues through education and awareness creation. Priscilla has a great love for nature and is excited to learn more about the diverse and rare species of plants found at UBC’s Center for Plant Research. She also has a love for sports, especially soccer and volleyball.
