Greetings! Thank you for your interest in the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of British Columbia.
Applications for the Fall 2025 intake are now closed
Due to a high number of applications, only applicants selected to proceed to the next step will be contacted. All notifications have been sent out, if you were not contacted by the end of November, 2024, then unfortunately your application was not selected for the next round.
Round 1
Applicants who are selected to move to Round 2 will be provided with a fee waiver code and will be invited to apply to their program.
For applicants who receive a fee waiver and are applying for a scholarship through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, your application to one of the chosen UBC programs below must be submitted by December 13, 2024. Late applications will not be considered.

Application Timeline
November
Scholars who move to the next round (R1) are invited to apply to their faculties
January- February
Scholars who make it to the next round (R2) are contacted for interviews
March – April
Selected Scholars receive offers for the Winter term
May – July
Scholars will be supported for visa processing and subsequently welcomed in Vancouver for the Winter term
