On September 26th, UBC’s first cohort of MasterCard Foundation Scholars was welcomed to the university at a reception hosted by Dr. Louise Cowin, UBC’s Vice President, Students, at Cecil Green Park House.
The five scholars, hailing from Rwanda, Lesotho, Uganda, Kenya and Botswana expressed delight to be studying in Vancouver at UBC, and are looking forward to their studies in Commerce, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, and Land and Food Systems.
