Greetings! Thank you for your interest in the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of British Columbia.
Applications for the Fall 2025 intake are now closed.
Please note that all Scholarship recipients have been notified. If you did not receive a notification by Friday, March 7, 2025, then unfortunately your application did not proceed to the final round.
Due to a high number of applications and the many process through which each application is screened, we are unable to reply to individual inquiries. If you were unsuccessful in securing a scholarship this year, please apply again when our applications open in August.
Round 1
Applicants who are selected to move to Round 2 will be provided with a fee waiver code and will be invited to apply to their program.
For applicants who receive a fee waiver and are applying for a scholarship through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, your application to one of the chosen UBC programs below must be submitted by December 13, 2024. Late applications will not be considered.

Application Timeline

Scholars who move to the next round (R1) are invited to apply to their faculties
January- February
Scholars who make it to the next round (R2) are contacted for interviews
March – April
Selected Scholars receive offers for the Winter term
May – July
Scholars will be supported for visa processing and subsequently welcomed in Vancouver for the Winter term
