Timmy is an ardent environmental sustainability enthusiast, an environmental geoscientist, and is passionate about education. He is a recent graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Nigeria, where he obtained a Bachelor of Technology in Applied Geology with First Class Honors.
He founded U-excel Initiative in May 2018, an education platform through which he has mentored about 58 undergraduate students to achieve academic excellence. He was the Campus Director of the first edition of Business and Entrepreneurship (BAE) Summit held at FUTA (2017). Since his graduation, the Youth Resource Network, Africa (organizers of BAE Summit) appointed him as the Director of Logistics for the Summit. He has acted in this position on 3 different occasions of the summit in FUTA (2018), JABU (2019) and the University of Ilorin (2019). Altogether, more than 5000 Nigerian youths have been impacted by the program. Reports show that about 1200 businesses have been started and more than 500 existing businesses have been accelerated as a result of the summit.

As an Environmental scientist, Timmy is concerned about the environmental situation in Southwestern Nigeria, hence his application to the UBC-Master of Land and Water Systems program. He looks forward to getting as much knowledge at UBC, as he would need to contribute to the development of the Southwestern Nigeria.
