    Meet Samuel Osaretin Buraimoh, a brilliant Food Scientist driven by an unwavering passion for ensuring the quality of food products. With a First Class Honors degree in Food Science and Technology from the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria, Samuel’s academic excellence paved the way for a remarkable career.

    After graduation, Samuel served as a Research Assistant at the department of Food Science and Technology, Federal University Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria where he spearheaded experiments to drive meaningful outcomes and publications. His research prowess earned him a reputation as a rising star in the scientific community. Samuel’s commitment to ensuring access to safe and nutritious food led him to join the food industry as an Assistant Supervisor, where he oversaw the quality of processed food, ensuring that every product met the highest standards. His expertise caught the attention of a leading FMCG brand, a multinational company involved in the production of noodles. As a PPIC Officer, Samuel worked with suppliers to ensure high-quality raw materials for production, analyzed quality metrics to identify trends and optimize production processes.

    As a prospective Food Quality Inspector, Samuel’s goal is to ensure the safety and quality of food products. Through his Master of Food Science at UBC, Samuel aim to contribute to this cause by leveraging the university’s global resources and network  to drive qualitative impact in the Nigeria food industry and beyond. Samuel is excited to come to UBC where he looks forward to maximizing every opportunity UBC offers to achieve his goals.
