Luzier Mburu

By maya zwang on July 5, 2017

Born and raised in Kenya, Luizer worked hard to attain her full scholarship at the United World College in Freiburg, Germany. She says that she is reminded daily of the words of her mentor, Professor Wangari Maathai, which are “I will do the best I can”. Luizer aspires to work with local communities and empower them to grow sustainably.

Luizer hopes to use her degree in Environmental Science to work with farmers in Kenya to create a food production system that is both sustainable and economically beneficial. She finds great potential in renewable energy and intends on working with engineers to harvest energy. She ultimately aspires to establish a stable and high output system that relies on renewable sources of energy. Luizer looks forward to finding people with similar interests, who are ready to do all they can for their communities, as she is.
